Andy Chou – Chief Investment Officer
Andy is the founding member of the firm and has worked with the principal of the family office even before its inception. Andy is an active angel investors and investment advisor, and has made multiple direct/fund investments spanning the US and Asia. Prior to managing family offices, Andy was in the financial advisory industry in Hong Kong, advising clients, raising capital and working on M&A deals in Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Taiwan. Andy started out his career working as a business operator internationally.
Andy received his Juris Doctor and MBA degrees from Brigham Young University and speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
Kenny Sze – Senior Associate
Prior to joining Kosei, Kenny has worked in various business operator roles, including over 8 years of senior management experience in multi-national companies. He oversaw and managed all daily business operations, P&L and budgeting. His expertise involves developing and implementing operation strategies to achieve profitability. Kenny’s extensive industry experience has given him sharp insights beyond his financial skill set to evaluate deals, especially in manufacturing, industrial products, technology, consumer goods and hospitality.
Kenny spent 7 years working and studying in Canada and returned to Hong Kong. He holds a B.A. & B.Sc. degree in Actuarial Science and Mathematics from University of Toronto. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
Austin Gumins – Associate
Austin is an associate at the firm and is responsible for deal origination and investment due diligence for private market investments across several sectors and industries. Previously, he spent two years as a consultant in the Enterprise Risk Financial Services Consulting practice of Ernst & Young, specializing in wealth and asset management clients. Prior to that, he was an equities analyst at a hedge fund specializing small cap technology, media, and telecommunications stocks.
Austin completed his B.S. in Business Administration at the University of Southern California (USC) with an emphasis in corporate finance and risk management.
